Betty Bauman, Founder Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!
About Betty
Betty Bauman, a marketing professional, is Founder of the “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” University series to encourage women to participate in the sports of boating and fishing. She has pioneered efforts to make fishing available to women.
With 9,000 graduates from 42 states since 1997, this “No-Yelling” School of Fishing provides hands-on opportunities for women to learn boat handling and fishing skills. Held in various Florida regions, LLGF includes a mixture of networking reception, classes on inshore, offshore, bottom and fly fishing, hands-on training, practice, an actual fishing excursion and fish fillet practice depending on the area. Innovative virtual meetings have been added in 2020 in addition to the physical events, with guest speakers to reach to more women due to the pandemic. Other events include a Fish cooking school.
Coverage has included Inside Edition, NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, CBS Early Show, USA Today, Wall Street Journal and countless major newspapers and magazines.
