About Janie

Janie Flores is a social entrepreneur and a business strategist. She is president and founder of Buena Vida Media, a multimedia company harnessing the power of the media and communications to position clients for success. Janie is an award-winning entrepreneur and since 2011 she helps her small business clients target their prospective markets through public relations strategies, social media, digital marketing initiatives and online media platforms. She is recognized for her passion to eliminate the digital divide for multicultural entrepreneurs and is the founder of the “Future of Work” Series of free conferences to close the digital skills gap for entrepreneurs taught by top digital experts, impacting thousands in the process. Janie is a “Super Connector” and brings leaders together for structured industry and community conversations on her digital platforms since the start of the pandemic.

Janie is a long-time board member of the Latin American Business Association, is a media member of the Powerhouse at Florida National University that focuses on stopping domestic abuse and human trafficking and is a founding member of the Hispanic Star Miami initiative aiding in the economic recovery of Hispanic small business owners during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, Janie is serving as a 2020 U.S. Census Ambassador to ensure members of the South Florida community are counted in the census.

Janie’s community commitment and business leadership has been recognized by several organizations. She is a Hispanic Women of Distinction Honoree 2020 and was named one of the 100 Successful Women in Business given by the Global Trade Chamber. She was selected as a Medallas de Cortez finalist for the prestigious Radio Ink Awards, she received the Tacarigua de Oro USA Award for Best Radio Crossover and received the international Premio a la Excelencia – Galapagos Islands, Ecuador award, among other recognitions.
