About Lynda
Lynda Monk, MSW, RSW, CPCC is a Registered Social Worker, Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, and Director of the International Association for Journal Writing (IAJW.org). She leads the IAJW which is a membership community for journal writers worldwide, as well as an e-commerce site featuring a journaling store with online courses, virtual retreats, journaling tools, ebooks and more.
Lynda is the co-author of Writing Alone Together: Journalling in a Circle of Women for Creativity, Compassion and Connection, as well as contributing author to the international bestseller Inspiration for a Woman’s Soul: Choosing Happiness. She developed Life Source Writing: A Reflective Journaling Practice for Self-Discovery, Self-Care, Wellness and Creativity and produced the Creative Wellness Guided Meditations. Lynda is the co-editor of Transformational Journaling for Coaches, Therapists, and Clients: A Complete Guide to the Benefits of Personal Writing (Routledge, 2021) and a forthcoming book, The Great Book of Journaling (Mango, June 2022).
Lynda regularly teaches, writes and speaks on the healing and transformational power of journaling and life writing. She has developed many online courses, virtual retreats, Go To the Page Speaker Series and other offerings that support people to enrich their lives and well-being with journaling. She lives with her family on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada where she journals everyday.
